Development first
Every player has written developmental goals and knows exactly what they are working on. Playing time follows the work, and the work is coached, not assumed.

Tampa Bay, Florida • Ages 8 to 14
TBT Florida is a Tampa Bay travel baseball program for players ages 8 to 14. We put development first, we compete second, and we do not lose the kid in the middle of it.
Why families choose TBT
Every player has written developmental goals and knows exactly what they are working on. Playing time follows the work, and the work is coached, not assumed.
The whole program is built to prepare players for high school baseball and the 15U to 17U travel and showcase world that follows it.
Respect for the game, for umpires, for opponents, and for teammates is not optional here. It is coached with the same attention as a swing or a delivery.
We practice and play in Tampa Bay. Local families get real practice schedules and real coaching access, not a program run from three hours away.
Our approach
Whether a player is eight years old or a legitimate college prospect, there is always something to improve. Our job is to find it, tell the player and the family plainly, and then coach it.
Reps without instruction are just exercise. Every station has a coach and a purpose.
Young players learn multiple positions. We do not decide a ten year old is a first baseman for life.
Parents get the real evaluation. If a player is not ready for a level, we say so and we tell you what closing the gap looks like.
Pitch counts and rest days are tracked and enforced. No tournament is worth a young arm.
Tryouts
Tryouts are how we build our rosters and how you get to know us. You will see how we run a practice, meet the staff, and get an honest read on where your player stands. Every player who attends receives feedback, whether or not they receive an offer.

Plan for about two hours on the field. Players are evaluated on defense at their primary and secondary positions, live at bats or timed batting practice, running, and arm strength. Pitchers and catchers get separate evaluation time.
Coaches watch how players carry themselves between reps just as closely as they watch the reps.
Age divisions follow USSSA age calculations. If you are unsure where your player belongs, email us a birth date and we will confirm placement before you register.
Cannot make any posted date? We hold makeup evaluations while roster spots remain open.
What the tagline means
Show up on time, work, be coachable, and respect the game and everyone in it. Nobody on this roster is bigger than the roster.
Get your player to practice, let the coaches coach, support every kid on the roster, and bring concerns to us directly rather than to the stands.
Every division runs the same way. Prepared coaches, consistent standards, development for every player on the roster, and honest communication with families.
Schedule
Filter by division, subscribe to your team calendar, and check here first when the weather turns. Cancellations post to the top of this page.
Come to a tryout. Meet the staff, watch a practice run the way we run them, and get an honest evaluation of where your player is right now.

Answer to confirm with leadership. Recommend publishing the full range, what it covers, and what it does not. Most programs hide this and it costs them trust.

No, and we will not tell you otherwise. Every player on the roster gets developed and gets opportunity. Playing time follows the work, and we will always tell you plainly what your player needs to do to earn more of it.
Pitch counts are logged for every outing and required rest days are enforced without exception. No tournament result is worth a young arm. If a coach and a parent disagree about an arm, the arm wins.
